[Spridgets] Making lenses?

Kip of Kip Motor Supply Texas makes lenses that way.  There used to 
be a lens repair kit on the market for clear or red or yellow. It was 
a 2 part substance and some clear packing tape. I have a few of those 
kits laying around. Doubt they're any good.
