Plug the ports in the head with Allen drive plugs (looks much better than bolts)
Remove the rest of the crap and cap any vacuum lines/ports
You can change the butterflys In the carb or solder the pop ups closed
I don't remember if any difference in settings, if so tune like a 1967 1275
A weber down draft may be easer to set up but I prefer SU's

Question - 1968 Sprite, stock 1075 which includes the smog pump. Is there
a benefit to removing the smog pump? Is there a site someplace with
"instructions" on how to do it, ie what to plug, what to do to SU carbs, tuning
specs, if it does "help"? What about Weber carb use and the smog pump? Or
using a Weber in place of the SUs?

Newly purchased little car - fun to play with it. Looking for a few more
projects, now

Thanks
