I drove the AL-Can several times in MG's back in the 80's.
I have heard that there are now long stretches of - what's that stuff called
now??

Pavement!!

1984 - 85
In a '69 MGB-GT Seattle to Fairbanks to Anchorage to Homer and back.
Also drove it in a '69 MGC-GT Anchorage to Seattle. April of 1986.
The "C" was made for cruising all day long, 6 cylinders and overdrive - man
that was the way to go...

Rick (ever go 125mph on gravel???) Bastedo

My wife claims there is more room in the trunk (boot!) of our Spridgets than
in our Miata but when we go long distance traveling that is usually what we
take. I've got similar trips planned only I am picking out only interesting
hi-ways and plan on doing it in my 40MPG midget. I know, I know, don't say
it!!
BTW, a friend who has done the Alaskan hi-way a couple of times recommends
NOT taking a sports car but a Geo Tracker or similar if I want the top down
experience. Roads aren't that good.

Kurt.
