I decided to pull the pin and take an "early retirement" in the early 1990's.  Like so many others I have talked to, I was never busier in my many chequered career than I have been since retiring.  I simply do not have enough hours in a day to get everything done that *needs* to be done.  My "To Do" list is twice as long as it used to be, and some of them have been on that list for over a year!  I sometimes think that I would have been better off NOT retiring!
