Thank you! I have a need for a dozen or so live mice to sneak into the new boss' office. He shot the two yard cats that we have been feeding for three years.

       Hi Jay,

As far as the meeces go ... This idea came from an RV list.
The vehicles being stored for a period of time.
I know that it works well.

    Procure a five gallon bucket.

... and a wooden dowel rod (1" or so) that fits fairly well in the top
opening.
(just "shy" of the diameter of the top opening)

Two nails, one in the center of each end of the dowel, through
holes drilled in the wall of the bucket.

The dowel is now a "roller" somewhat flush with the top of the
     bucket opening.

Precision pays off here .. we like easy rollers.

Place a ring of peanut butter (I like Smuckers Natural) in the
     center of the roller.

Fasten a ramp (yardstick?) up to the now tasty roller.

Mouse walks up the ramp (tripping the optional motion sensor
which starts the video camera) and heads out onto the roller ...

       Sucker!

If this will be unattended for a while and no pets can access it,
pour a couple of inches of anti-freeze in the bottom of the bucket.
(this will preserve their furry little asses so no pesky odor)

Water will work but obviously not preserve them.

Or leave the bucket empty and dump it regularly in the
     Big Healey Garage next door.

       Good Luck Jay,
