[Spridgets] engine shipping

Gary knew me pretty well. He did 99% of my gift shopping in hardware, feed, auto parts, and gun stores. It made it easy on him. How many wives are actually happy receiving a Winchester for a first anniversary present, or a set of Jeep accessories for Christmas? Anything frilly or feminine, I usually bought for myself. Actually, he did enjoy working on cars until he got too sick to do it.

Allow a husband who took a long time to figure this out to amplify Kate's response.

Fixing the steering wheel short is expected, you will do it because you enjoy (in her mind) working on cars. Now surprise her with a nice necklace and all will be good.....

Allow a wife (well, I was a wife before I became a widow) to give you a real translation. "Great bargain, Honey! While you're waiting for it to arrive, you can pull the steering column off my truck and track down the short"

Mike...

Third marriage here... Allow me to translate....

"you are stupid to do it but go ahead, however when you need money for
something on the car don't come to me and ask for it because you wasted it
on a motor"

Translation: "You complete and total idiot! If you do this it's going to be
as cold in the bed room (if I ever let in in again) as the winter of 1947."

Just so you know ;-)

Cheers!!
Jim
