I have never driven an electric car, so I can't say from experience.  And a 
part of the sensory experience of driving is listening to a nice sounding 
exhaust note.  But something about having all of that torque way down low 
would be real nice.  I'm guessing that a decent performing electric car 
would be a great autocrosser.
