[Spridgets] Paint shop fiasco

[Bug Eye]

I did all my body work and painting and I have close to $1000 in materials.
The 
shop must be getting a great deal on materials or not paying much in
labor. I 
donbt see how anyone could do an expectable job for that much
money.

Subject: [Spridgets] Paint shop fiasco
So I am posting this just to get it off of my chest so I don't snap and KILL
someone.





I took my Midget to get painted and have some bodywork done,
associated with
getting hit in a parking lot back in the fall.BB  I dropped
the car off on
March 2.BB  2 weeks later they said it was done and I picked it
up.BB  It looked
good and I had it flatbeadded home.BB  when I got it home I
took a better look
as I was reasembling it.BB  They did a for s%*it job.BB 
besides not doing the
bodywork even half a%%ed they left my car with holes
drips and they PAINTED my
stainless steal exhaust!!! and they never fixed half
the chips on the car that
I paid for.BB  so I took it back 4 weeks ago to have
them fix it.BB  I was told
on AprilBB  11 that it would be done the end of the
week.BB  then after not
hearing from them I called on the 18 and they said it
will be done on 20th but
that came and went and then on Monday I was told for
the 4th time it was in
final buffing and they wanted to make sure it was good
and I could pick it up
on wednesday.BB  On wednesday they said Its done but it
looks like rain how
about waiting till Saturday.BB  fine. I have waited this
long.... SO saturday
morning I get a ride up to the shop to be there at 9 when
they open as I was
told it was ready last night.BB  at 5 of 9 and 200' from
the shop they call me
and say "uh i found a scratch by the door but I can get
it fixed by 11:30 if
you can come later".BB  So I wait. At 11 I call and they
tell me its ready to
go if i can get here by 12.BB  no problem I am at a
friends house 5 minutes
away....the phone goes silent...."uh oB BB  k, we will
see yoiu then."BB  AT
11:30 I drive over and find my car sitting in PREP!!!!!
behind another car.B 
I check it over and I cant really tell because its dark
so I say finish
buffing it out and pull it out in the sunlight.BB  BUT THEY
CAN"T cause THEY
KILLED MY NEW BATTERY!!!!!!!BB  SO they jump start it and
pull it out into the
light......the car has no gloss it is FLAT except for by
the driver side rear
quarter panel where is beautifully glossy.....which makes
it that much easier
to see theBB  5 inch deep 7 inch long dripB line on the
panel from 3 feet
away!!!!B BB  the door doesn't match the body the rockers
don't match anything
theBB  wholeB car that isn't facing up is flat.BB  This
is after its been there
for FOUR F-ING WEEKS!!!!!



"Oh a we can fix that but
you will have to leave it till Monday.B " NO SH&T
a&& hole what other choice
do I have???



"Well we tried to make you happy by doing a base coat and a
clear coat cause
we know we made a mistake."BB  WANT TO MAKE ME HAPPY??? LEARN
HOW TO PAINT A
F--KING CAR!!!!!!!!!



So far I have paid $1000 for the paint
and bodywork,$350 for 2 tows, missed 2
club get togethers, one car show, one
club rally, and most disturbing to me
the funeral of the man I deeply
respected, cared for, and whoB taught me how
to make the car drivable in the
first place.

SO any suggestions on how to deal with them
Monday morning without screaming
and cursing at them
