[Spridgets] spider webs in evaporative canister (Mazda)

I can remember having a big grey spider as a pet when I was about 5 - 6 years old. How, when, or why I became so afraid of them, I have no idea. I am not afraid of snakes, despite having been bitten by a rattlesnake. I have no problem handling creepy, crawly, slimy things. I garden with a can of bug killer near my hand ready for use. My former neighbors very quickly learned that, when I screamed, they did not need to call 911, but to rush to my assistance carrying a can of Raid. I have cheerfully faced down muggers, been shot at and shot, and am afraid to go nowhere other than my own attic or basement.

I seems that young girls are taught that they should be afraid of spiders
(and get a big strong man to save them). My wife was, so we took care that
our girls were not taught that, and they have no special response to
spiders. For the same reason, they also don't mind picking up crawly/wormy
things on the beach.
So grandpas, tell your kids not to perpetuate the problem.
