Just catching up on old messages

100 ft lbs is the same as hanging 100lbs weight off a one foot long
wrench or 50lbs on a 2 foot wrench 0r 25lbs on a 4 ft wrench (but add a bit
too to be sure )
soaking threads with diesel oil or WD40 can help , so can judicial
appliance of heat .
undoing is easy because you can use a big hammer too - even drilling
through a nut to weaken it first .
tightening - hire / borrow a torque wrench

it also depends on what the nuts are holding in place - be careful , very
careful if they are restraing a coil spring for example - attach a
restainer of some sort

Alan (never owned a Jap car in my life )

Breaking them loose can be the easy part. Get a 6 foot section of 1.5 inch
pipe, slip it over a lifetime warrantee sears ratchet and click away.

No idea how to get the torque set.

Good luck,
