I have used a wad of steel wool on the end of a drill bit; bit in variable
speed drill. You have to blow out the conductive wool bits real good though.

I also have had problems in the 65 Midget, with poor connections between the
fuse and the holder. A small bit of dowel, slightly smaller than the fuse
diameter, wrapped in sandpaper, corrected that. Put in each holder clamp,
and twist....
