Gilcrease doesn't race in vintage, he's a long time (26 years) GTLite  SCCA 
national competitor. He races all season long on the west coast and also  
participates in the season ending national Championship Runoffs every year.  
They'll be at Road America in late September.
 
And yes, there are vintage races at Watkins Glen. In my opinion, the one to 
 go to is the SVRA event held on the second weekend of September each year. 
 A Canadian friend of mine who races a Mini Marcos which was prepped and 
powered  by Gilcrease, will more than likely be running in that event this 
year.
