[Spridgets] Used car help - NO LCB, No RT

Is there anyone in the San Francisco Bay area who could advise our younger daughter on a used car?  She must move from San Francisco to a job in LA in a week and will need a car when she gets there, so hopes to find one in SF so she can carry her "stuff"  to LA.  She is looking for a late '90s Toyota or Honda in the $3500-$4000 range, not currently needing work.
