[Spridgets] axle or pinion problems?

Guys,

I've done a few of these ;)  Just  did one on Saturday (drivers side  
- broken off in the diff).   I always pull both axles and the center  
section if the car is at my garage.  I just think it's easier to make  
sure all the bits & pieces are out doing it that way ;)

I have replaced an axle "on the road".   I didn't pull the center  
section, just both axles for that one.

Why, when you have a 50/50 chance of pulling the broken axle do you  
almost always pull the good axle first??????    Just askin'
