Yeah, I think a cooler thermostat would help--worth trying anyway, since a
thermo isn't expensive.B  Nowadays they tell you not to go lower because the
computers in today's vehicles depend on a constant engine temperature at
something like 190-195 degrees.B  But the Spridgets are fortunate to have
predated the computer junk so the cooler thermo might help.B  But first, be
sure the system is healthy.B  Use a cleaner and back flush it to be sure you
are getting good flow.

I have a 180 degree thermostat installed in the car and it seems to run
exceptionally hot. B This was installed in the car when I lived in the NW.
Since I've relocated to South Carolina, the car seems to always run toward the
hot end of the gauge. B Any recommendations as to what temp thermostat I
should
be getting? B I'm thinking 165 degrees. B Should I go any cooler than that?
Heat index has been aroun 105-115 this summer. B Ouch!
