[Spridgets] Armstrong Lever Shock question

Yes, Castrol is the lubricant company (named for castor oil), but chuck runs
a 2 stroke Saab race car. He adds oil to the race fuel, and then he adds
just a bit of castor oil to it as well. The lubricant oil in the gas
doesn't give the same smell as real castor oil, like the early racers used
to use. I went with him to pick up race gas once, and saw the actual "chuck
bottle" of castor oil. It don't mean a think if it ain't got that stink.

Castor oil is a very good lubricant with good viscosity at low and high
temps, but it tends to gum up the works. It is still a usable oil for a
race engine, because it would probably be rebuilt regularly. (I like
synthetics.)
