[Spridgets] Check out the headlights on this bugeye

I've seen this photo before in Sprite books but never heard this done as per
the caption.
"In the early days it wasn't uncommon for Sprite drivers to remove one
headlight and use the housing as the basis for a helmet. "

Very interesting but has anyone ever heard of this?
