One time from a foundation failure in the midwest. My grandfather owned 
a nearby building.

The collapsed building was the common brick  and wood construction. 
Small wall sections survived intact, but pretty much every joint in the 
building failed and pretty much everything inside was destroyed when the 
bricks at the top of the building went to meet their brethren on the 
lower walls. Not a pretty sight. Fortunately the building had been 
cleared prior to its collapse.
