Support piece measures 12-inches plus 1/16-inch

Square Sprite of Midget.
I need to know how long the center support from the bottom of the front 
apron to the underside of the spot where the bonnet latches.
My $50 Midget project does not have this piece.
I can make it easy enough if I knew how long it was.
If you have a car with the grill out, could someone please measure the 
center support piece for me.

I have a 67 with that piece but I hate to remove the grille just to see 
how long it is.
