Hi Vigil,
The second pump could be for redundancy, or he could be using two pickups in
the cell to prevent starvation in certain conditions. The pumps must be in
parallel because there is only one fuel line running up front to the
regulator. Back in those days there wasn't the variety of fuel cells that you
have today, and the ATL 8 Gal. Sport Cell was what most builders used.

I could not find where the meantioned the system.
