[Spridgets] New problem

So I replaced the rotor and no more miss.
But on the test drive and wide open throttle naturally, one of the
linkage ears popped out and got stuck holding the throttle open about
1/2 way.
Watch out Toyotas, I can't stop either!!!
So I used the light of my cell phone to see what happened, I popped it
back in but it popped out again on the return home trip.
So I fixed it right this time once back in the garage.
under WOT, I put it in neutral but it was reving too high.
So at the stop signs and red light I just switched it off but it let out
a loud backfire each time.
The kids at the Wawa thought it was cool, I didn't.
So do rotors turn into rev limiting rotors in time?
What is in there that could break down? It was not worn, it has about
500 miles on it
But now I am wondering if maybe the linkage got stuck at that one
certain spot and caused the carb to flood out. When the linkage jammed,
it was missing and reving But it never jammed yesterday or it popped
back in by itself.

All fixed, now to disassemble the turn signal switch to fix my
intermittent right signals.......
