That's how I have it set up on my Mini, so I'll be doing the same to the
Sprite. Rear mounted pump with filter just before the carbs. Thanks

Howard,

I'd put it at the end of the steel fuel line in the engine bay just ahead
of the carbs. Easy to get to and does the same job. The fuel pump will
pass most refuse (unless it is really big pieces). You want the fuel filter
to
prevent bits and refuse in the fuel from getting into carburetor orifices.
One filter does this nicely but needs to be replaced periodically as it
collects sludge and restricts the fuel flow. Therefore, I put them where you
reach them easily to replace.

Peter suggested removing one of the two filters, the one on the inlet side
of the pump.

What if like me, you only have one filter. Is it best to place it on the
inlet or outlet side of the pump, and why?
