X GUITARIST b
BILLY ZOOM - SUCCESSFULLY TREATED FOR PROSTATE CANCER

NOW CANCER FREE b BUT
ENCOURAGES MEN TO GET TESTED EARLY

(Los Angeles, CA b May 10, 2010)
Legendary guitarist, punk legend, and
all-around nice guy, Billy Zoom,
recently revealed that he has been successfully treated for prostate cancer.
In March 2010, the 62-year-old
musician/producer/electronics wiz underwent a
radical prostatectomy. Thankfully, the disease was first diagnosed in its very
early stages, and his post-surgery pathology reports have given Billy an "all
clear".

"I will need regular follow-up checks over the years, but we have
arrived at the best possible outcome," Zoom said. "It won't affect my
commitments to X, and the Billy Zoom Custom Shop is back in full production of
Little Kahunas and other custom electronics products. There's still quite a
back-log of orders, but I'm catching up."

Billy Zoom was treated by Dr. David
Agus and Dr. Inderbir Gill at the USC
Westside Prostate Cancer Center in L.A.
Ironically, Billy has been a regular guest at the annual Johnny Ramone
Benefit, that raises funds and awareness for that very USC Center lead by Dr.
David Agus.

Since his diagnosis, Zoom has encouraged other men to get annual
prostate exams. One out of six American men will also be in this same
situation sometime in their lives. All men over age 50 should have annual
blood tests of their PSA levels.
