I have the gauge and light. I use the big green signal indicator as my 
oil light as it sits in front of my eyes.
I also added a temp warning lamp, it's amber.
My signal dash indicators are of the later Sprite arrows with 2 on the 
dash centered over the signal switch.
I use an MGB fitting as it has a spot for the electric sensor yet the 
oil hose screws into it.
I had it in the garage and made it all work.
My temp sensor is in the block drain.
Temp gauge is in the head.
