[Spridgets] Toyota Gas Pedal Stuck Situation. . Question

This summer, I picked up a '95 Jeep Grand Cherokee... I bought it quite
cheap, as it needed a few things fixed. (Larry went with me.)

One morning, I was on the way to the dentist... and realized I'd neglected
to bring my phone, so I returned to my home, parked halfway on the grass,
slightly uphill, on the left side of the road, and ran in. I came back out,
and my Jeep was gone. It had rolled down the hill, and was smashed up
against a small pine tree in the neighbor's yard down by the lake.

It had broken a well casing in her yard, and water was gushing out of the
ground like a geyser. The Jeep was still running. I couldn't understand how
this happened, as the idle is high enough on the Jeep that you'd have no
chance getting out of the door is you'd left it in reverse while running. (I
later found out that this Jeep had never gone in for the recall to fix the
detent ball in the trans or linkage that had caused numerous other
Chrysler/Jeep owners the same problem.) If it hadn't hit the tree, it either
would have roller through her living room, or all the way down to the lake.

I was slightly embarrassed as I called my insurance guy and explained. He
said not to worry, as something similar had happened to him just the night
before. His family was sitting in his Prius in their driveway, when it
started on its own, and lurched into their other car in the driveway.
Remember, this took place late summer '09, before Toyota's shit hit the fan.

Well, I know there is at least one Prius driver on this list. No, not me.
But I'll bet he doesn't appreciate being called "not too smart" for driving
a Prius. Does "conservative" necessarily mean completely devoid of
intelligent thought? You make it seem so. And not the first time, I might
add.
