Hi Lin,
Conax connectors, http://www.conaxbuffalo.com/details.aspx?cid=FSA&pid=FSA
They have sealing glands for multiple conductors.

Underwater Robot Competition Update

Update,
If anyone knows of parts companies for parts to connect multiple small gauge
wires into a waterproof box without having to gob loads of silicone caulk
around each wire please email me. So far we have found our wires connected
to the waterproof control box was the culprit of our leak which blew out
several chips. The kids need some really good suppliers for this area and
some of the kids mentioned gobbing jars of Vaseline on all the electronics
parts inside the box before sealing it permanently. I think they are nuts to
do that and I object. Can some of you guys tell me if industry does that
with their electronics it just seems like a mess to me. I feel if you seal
the wires to the box properly you shouldn't have to do that.

Last year I took the kids to Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute and got a
tour of their engineering teams I will try and contact them again and see
what they do or get a list of their suppliers.

Knowing you guys/gals are awesome with parts/tools and creative engineering
ideas on not only our Spridgets but other stuff there must be some other
ideas out there.

BTW I take no engineering credit for the team wins I am just the go between
person who hates paperwork, and supervises safe shop practices...wink!

Thanks in advance,
Linda
