[Spridgets] What is it with farmers?

So he's got a Herald for sale that is rusted into the ground. Wonderful.

But scroll down those pictures.

He's got a bunch of other sports cars that he's planted into the field
So they can rust away too.

Why do they do that?  Is it some sort of disease?

And while I'm at it...
