Hello,

  It should probably be mentioned that Sedro Wooley Washington was the
  home of the state "funny farm" years ago. The State decided that it
  could no longer afford to run the facility and simply decided that
  the "inmates" weren't crazy after all. Basically they opened the
  doors and walked away. Most of the former "patients"  settled right
  there. At least that's the way I understand it.
