In the 1950's they were selling some cheap stuff, but there was also quality
for those that knew where to look. The Japanese had captured all of the
German camera technology before WW II. That was some of the first
affordable, quality stuff to be exported. ...bill in oregon

Remember 50 years ago when saying something was "made in Japan" was an 
insult?  Now Japanese cars rank higher in quality than Mercedes Benz.

Same thing "could" happen in China.  Really, Frank, it could!!
