[Spridgets] keep blowin' fuses....whassup?

Got the fire extinguisher handy, but hesitant to go any higher than a 25A... Would that be 35A British? Which I see would be 20A US according to some of the charts.

My midget, mgb, and TD are all 35 amp fuses. I buy them and put at least 5 spares in every vehicle. That is the original setup.

However many of us modify things for a safety factor like putting in relays for headlights on separate fuses. There are a lot of articles and a book on how to make improvements to the infamous Lucas system.

And like everyone who knows history, I carry a fire extinguisher with me.

I only recall a thread out here not too long ago that someone found some 17A fuses from a tractor that were exactly what was recommended for his car (can't recall where he found that info). So I stuck in a 20A and crossed my fingers! Where does one find out what exactly goes into the fuse box for all the connections if not the freakin' manual??
