I may have used a grinder to start, but the final removal was done with a cold
chisel and a BF-hammer.
Andy..
P.S. on seeing other replies.... what needs to be done to use the datsun
clutch?
I thought the flywheel needed to be drilled....?
That was why I didn't go for Paul A's kit... sending the flywheel... or rather
getting Kent to remove and send the flywheel from Ohio to Oregon for me seemed
to be pushing the envelope a bit!
I think when my clutch needs replacing i will use the Datsun clutch if it is
not too much bother to change.

Those of you with Rivergate conversion kits:
How did you remove the contact plate from the fingers of the clutch pressure
plate as required to use a roller-type throw-out bearing?
