Ethanol was forced on us by the farm lobby.  The corn growers do not care what it does to our cars as long as they get to sell high priced Ethanol. 

>From what I have read today, the issue with disintegrating rubber is most likely due to Ethanol than stabil.

I was told that Ethanol is transported separate from the Gasoline.  It
is mixed when delivered to the stations because it would absorb so
much moisture if mixed before transport.  This may or may not be true.
I know I was tinkering with a generator and put a little Ethanol/Gas
mix in a jar and it absorbed moisture seemingly instantly.  It was
very humid (near 100%) but I was working under a covered area.  In
just a couple of minutes the E/G mix was milky white with moisture.

I don't like it because they (The Man) seem to be forcing it on the
populous, and it gives you less mileage per gallon.
