You can use this method
http://www.instructables.com/id/Clean-and-Simple-Electroplating/

You can use the Arm & Hammer Washing soda and water for your
electrolyte instead of juices. This solution can be used many times.
I use a 5 gallon bucket with a copper rod across the top and hang the
hardware from the rod with uncoated copper wires.
I just replace the copper with a zinc bar and use a DC12V 3amp wall
wart instead of batteries (works faster).
You can get a zinc bar from a marina, just make sure it's zinc and
not aluminium.
Prep the parts by glass beading.
