[Spridgets] Horn wiring

I'm having bad luck with wiring a horn. The horn has the 4 spade connectors on
two separate points on the horn. Before mounting it I tested it and it worked.
After mounting I again used one wire to each of two separate " V "
connections. I reconnected the battery and the horn sounded without using the
switch then would not work again. Am I screwing this up?
