[Spridgets] Spinning shift knob

Awright! Awright! Enough of this foolishness. Anybody interested in a
serious answer?

After losing the shift knob on my vintage racer once and chewing up
the palm of my expensive racing glove, I decided to fix the problem
once and for all.

Seems like the threads in the insert on the knob were stripped out
and the threads on the shift lever weren't too good either. The
solution was to permanently fix the problem by orienting the knob (MG
octagon) and drilling through the base of the knob into the shift
lever and inserting a roll pin. It will never come off now. You could
also drill and tap and use a socket head, cone point set screw if you
wanted it to be removable.

And, I don't have to worry if I ever race in OZ.
