Fernley is a pretty miserable place, especially late in the season. I have
seen rain, snow and high winds on race day. The wind blows pretty much all the
time, not just in the later part of the year. One time there were Mustangs on
the track during a vintage race, the 4 legged kind. Not much in the town
either. I think maybe only one respectable motel and restaurant. The best part
is that the track is close to Reno.
