Always "end-balance" the rods. Do the pins as well.
Heck, go crazy, 'button' the pistons!
Remove sharp edges...everywhere.
You are doing the crank, right. Pulleys?
Flywheel, P-plate?
Then there's that darn drive shaft....

PS  I've found little value in balancing the muffler bearings.
