[Spridgets] calipers and kingpins

Finally got around to getting upstairs in the shop tonight and dragging down 3
sets of disk brake frontends and started dissasmbling them to find the parts
for one good set for the front end of the project bugeye. ALL of the fulcrum
pins were frozen along with having major slop so out came the die grinder and
a thin cut off wheel. One set of the king pins has absolutely no play so is
there a reason to re-build them (i.e. new king pins, bushings, and haveing
them reamed? Next question is on the calipers. Is it possible to split them,
bead blast and have them performance coated for looks then install a rebuild
kit? Does the rebuild kit come with new pistons? I remember seeing somewhere
that the smalll o rings inbetween the two halfs are NLA? Is this true ? How
much of a PIA is it to rebuild them or is it better to just buy a new set?
New A-Arms are definetly on the list UNLESS I decide to try and solder in new
fulcrum pin bushings. Has any one don that before?

Then I have to decide if this car get wire wheeels or not. Have all the wire
wheel hubs and rear end but will have to round up 4 more wire wheels. Have
one that is literally BRAND new. Anyone go one or two for sale that are like
brand new and dont know what to do with them:) I cant afford Daytons price so
willl have to search for them one at a time. If I go wih wire wheels the
mounts will ge cut off the WW rear end out of a 67 and then the mounts off a
bugeye housing will ge welded on.
