Thanks to all who replied...
As soon as it stops raining ( IF !!!! ) I'll go outside, take the 
cover off,  and take some measurements.

I didn't rebuild the front suspension myself so Peter C's comments 
about tightening the inner trunnion bolts might also be valid.

One measurement offered was approx 12" from the center of the hub to 
the wheel arch... just guessing, but I think I have more than that.. 
I'll see and report back.
