[Spridgets] Speedometer cable pinion gear

Not to bogart someone else's response, but I do know that the nylon gear (or
whatever it is) does not grip on the knurled pinion shaft on mine.  

Just wondering what others have done before spending $ for a new one, if
thats possible.

Hi Dan.

Might be the gear slipping, but I would also look at the ends of the cable
to see if the squared ends are still square and long enough.  If they aren't
get a new cable.  They aren't at all expensive.
