[Spridgets] Tenax Posts?

Hey,

Thanks to everyone who has replied - the consensus seems to be:
1) I'm not crazy for wanting to do this
2) I can get the posts through vendors ( I had missed them in the  
catalogs ) or boat/upholstery shops
and
3) the machine screw post through the trim finish cap is the way to go  
as the sheet metal one would probably eventually pull out.

Now one more question:

The top needs replaced too, so do I get an 8 tenax (pre-68?) top and  
just install the posts through the trim finish or get a 6 tenax top  
and fit the missing two posts and pulls?
