[Spridgets] Manifold stud is out!

Well, All you apparently have to do is be stubborn enough to not quit and then
get beyond caring if you screw up the paint (it's gonna be under the manifold
anyway, right?)
 
I called my friend down the street for moral support, we heated it up till the
whole stud was glowing red, then snapped on the biggest vice grips I could -
arms shaking with the effort... Then it slowly began to turn and finally
came out.  I think I'll mount it on a plaque and hang it in the garage. 
 
Thanks for all the suggestions, humor, and encouragement.  This group is
great.
