I can vouch for Auto Air colors, they hold down incredibly well.   You can
do tape outs over them much sooner after shooting than with urethanes or
acrylic lacquers.

I have never had a problem with them nor have seen them peel out in large
sections if hit.

I paint everyday full time with a booth I built on my property.   Mostly am
shooting nitro lacquer on vintage guitars.   I have also shot a lot of
Harley tanks and fenders with two stage urethanes.
