ZDDP was removed because it can shorten the life of catalytic converters,
the same reason we have unleaded gas.

As long as you don't drive a new Cadillac, it's affect on the cat shouldn't
be a problem. They go through converters about once a year, compared to
>300,000 miles for a typical Honda converter.
