I've had good luck with the Laserlyte Universal Bore Sighter from LL Bean.
TA49295.

It's a bit spendy at $52 to $54 + SH but works on everything from .20 to
.50.  I haven't reverted to loading my own like Mr. Innis yet... at least
not for rifle or pistol ammo. I shoot a fair amount of 7.62x39 but it is
still pretty cheap.

I've been reloading my shot shells for a long time.
