[Spridgets] Non Political, Little LBC and house insulation

I have searched all over the net and cant find a definitive answer as to if
you can OVER insulate your ceiling space in the attic. After a really
horrendous light bill, I got the electric company to test and change out
their meter. I then installed 18 inches of blown cellulose (smart shopping
on craigslist for others surplus) to my existing 7 that was in the attic.
Well, today a friend stopped by and asked if I wanted a bunch of 6 batt
insulation left over from a job he is doing (yes, I took it) so I added the
6 batts over the top of the blown cellulose. So my question is have I
over insulated to a detrimental point??? I can tell you there are no
drafts and it has a very even feel to the inside temp. My walls are solid
blown cellulose which has a binder added to basically glue it in place (done
when all the walls were stripped for a re-model). A few windows to change
over to Low E and hopefully it will lower my monthly energy costs which will
allow me more money for LBCs J See there is a LBC subject to my question.
What say all yee?? Now if I can just find a 4.5 ton 13 to 14 seer
compressor unit on craigslist I should be hardly cranking the meter.
