It's one 'd' and lower case 'm' as in "as clear as mud"
Two 'd's and upper case 'M' as in "His name is Mudd"
Look up the reason on wikipedia.... it's most interesting... the
difference cost me a steak dinner.... I'm a poor loser so I learn
quickly ;-))
