Test try whatever you do first. JB Weld works on many types of metal. 
Contact adhesive, where you put it on both surfaces and then put them
together has good holding properties where heat isn't an issue.

I need to use (metal) panel adhesive to join some sheet metal  
together.  This is in an area where I can't weld.

Does anyone have any experience with automotive panel adhesives?

Any recommendations from those of you who have used these adhesives?
