Tell him to send his certified check, then tell him he will have a 4 
month wait to make sure said check clears. Then he can send his 
"mover" to pickup "the item"
Better yet, have his "mover" bring cold hard cash and an additional 
100 bucks to pull the ad from CL, and have his "mover" contact you 
for pickup location (local mall / shopping center)
See if you get a response from these.
