[Spridgets] Unintended acceleration

I had the accelerator cable freeze on my 72 Lemans 400.  I did kill  
the ignition, but I won't claim it was my first thought.

OTOH, my 74 Midget had a worn socket on the back of the accelerator  
pedal which would occasionally pop out and lock itself at WOT when  
stepped on too hard. Fortunately, the Pontiac had already taught me to  
hit the ignition. After the second time, I learned to pop it out  
myself BEFORE the autocross...
